Hotel Management reported on findings from VikingCloud's research – Peak Season, Peak Risk: The 2025 State of Hospitality Cyber Report – noting that 48% of hotel IT and security executives were not confident in their staff's ability to identify and respond to AI-driven cyberattacks and deepfakes, and that 22% said cybercriminals were outpacing their teams. The coverage points to payment and POS technology (72%), guest Wi-Fi (56%), and front desk systems (34%) as the most vulnerable guest-facing technology.
