James Bibles is the Chief Strategy and Compliance Officer for CorePLUS and an Advisor for VikingCloud. James has extensive domain experience in cybersecurity, compliance, and risk management, with a career focused on helping organizations operationalize security programs and regulatory frameworks. He has worked with enterprises across highly regulated industries including healthcare, financial services, and the global payments ecosystem, advising leadership teams on cybersecurity governance, risk management, and compliance strategy.
Throughout his career, James has played an active role in industry collaboration and standards development. He previously served as Chair of the Electronic Transactions Association (ETA) Risk, Fraud, and Security Committee, where he worked with payment industry leaders to address emerging fraud and cybersecurity threats across the payments ecosystem. In addition, he served on the PCI Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) Small Merchant Task Force, contributing to industry guidance designed to improve security outcomes and reduce risk for small and mid-sized merchants.
James’ work focuses on helping organizations transition from fragmented security tooling to structured, measurable cyber risk management programs aligned with leading frameworks such as NIST, HIPAA, and PCI DSS. By combining operational security capabilities with governance and compliance advisory services, he helps organizations build sustainable cybersecurity programs that strengthen resilience, support regulatory defensibility, and reduce the likelihood of operational disruption.
